WHY SHOULD I COME TO YOUTH CLUB?

Lyppard Hub Youth Club is a safe area for you to hang out whatever the weather – many of our young people say that they prefer to be in the centre on a cold night than out in the local parks/ streets, then in warmer weather it’s somewhere to stay cool as we have Air Conditioning!

Coming to youth club will allow you and your friends to meet up, or you could make new friends and take part in activities. The youth staff team are also on hand to help with any worries/ concerns or just to have a chat.

WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT YOUTH CLUB?

You tell us!

Is there an activity you’d really like to try but maybe can’t find somewhere local that offers it, or can’t afford to attend? If you talk to the youth team about it we can try to make it happen.

The timetable of youth club sessions for the current term can be viewed via our Instagram page (you don’t need an Instagram account to view this!)

HOW DO I GET TO YOUTH CLUB?

The Youth Club is held inside Lyppard Hub, Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 ODZ.

You have your very own entrance/ exit which can be found at the back of the building by the gated play area. You can watch a video on our Facebook which shows you exactly how to get to us here.

WHAT TIME ARE THE SESSIONS?

The youth club sessions start at 6.30pm, but the gate to the park is locked at 6.45pm so if you are not here before this time you may not be allowed in for that session. Please contact us if you are going to be late as we may be able to hold a space for you.

Then sessions finish at 8pm.

DO I HAVE TO STAY ALL SESSION?

You can leave the session at any point, however if the Youth Club staff believe you are at harm to yourself, others or the property then you will have to stay with a staff member until your parent/ guardian or relevant authority (e.g. police, paramedic) can arrive.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND EVERY SESSION?

No. The Youth Club is open every Tuesday & Thursday during school term time only, so just pop into session when you want to. We have some young people who only attend once a week, or even once a month.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE CLUB?

If you don’t like the club, then you don’t have to attend. It is entirely up to you, but we encourage you to talk to the youth staff team about your concerns as we may be able to help.

I WANT TO SPEAK TO A YOUTH WORKER BUT NOT INFRONT OF EVERYBODY?

You can ask a member of the youth team to have a private chat, and we can do this without any attention being drawn. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, then you can email youthclub@lyppardhub.co.uk or direct message the Lyppard Hub Youth Club facebook or instagram, these emails & messages are seen by the youth club leader/ management only.
